Safety Features

An advanced over-temperature protection mechanism halts heating when water temperatures exceed 93°F, thus safeguarding fish from harmful conditions. In the event of excessive heat (over 95°F), the heater will signal a warning through a flashing 95 on the display, and both indicator lights will blink simultaneously. The heater operates optimally within a temperature range of 59℉ (15℃) to 93℉ (34℃). If the heater is left exposed due to water evaporation, it will automatically shut off to prevent damage, displaying error codes (ER) for user awareness.

Fully submersible, the hygger heater must be kept immersed in water for proper functioning. Enhanced with two temperature probes, it offers improved sensitivity and safety, preventing potential issues arising from a single probe failure.

Construction and Design

The heating element comprises nickel-chromium wire and explosion-proof quartz glass, promoting fast heating while remaining energy-efficient. Its ABS plastic exterior withstands physical impacts from fish, ensuring lasting durability without deformation.

An external controller allows for temperature adjustments without direct contact with water, making operation straightforward. Each button press adjusts the temperature by a single degree.
